"Bitch I look like Goku"

I like this kid but a part of me feels bad, because I sort of see a past version of myself in this kid: the escapist, I have no friends, the internet is the only place that accepts me parts. But on the other hand: bahahahaha. What a dumb fuck! I like Dragon Ball Z too, even though it never really delivered on anything and Mr. Popo made me pretty uncomfortable, but I’m pretty sure I never ripped my shirt off my emaciated sad sack torso and screamed bloody murder trying to go super saiyan in my bedroom.

It appears that I was not missing out on anything good. There is a high probability that this is not real, but I’m just going to disregard that and continue to know that, no matter what, this dude’s day was probably way worse than mine. With 90,000 views and counting, this dude “The Secreted” himself into fame alright, but it wasn’t for saving the world from Vegeta. It was for looking like a dingus. Thanks internet.

that's just sad.

Consequence is getting ready to drop a Kanye West exposè. Yes, you just read that right.

While my early 90's leanings may by default make me a fan of some of the verses Consequence has uttered over the course of his largely depressing career, this little action right here, I cannot excuse. So with the Blind Fury of someone who spends too much time around a keyboard, I must respond in the only way I know how.

I have a vivid imagination. So when I see something like the embedded video above, I can't help but think about what Consequence has gone through in his nearly twenty year "career."

First of all, Consequence is Q-Tip's cousin. Which raises immediate questions as to why he was allowed a guest verse on Beats, Rhymes, and Life in the first place. In my mind, Q-Tip and/or Phife Dawg probably absconded with Consquence's girl at some point during the heydey of their popularity, and in return they gave their little cousin a chance to hop on a record.

Little did they know that in doing so they were creating an eternal Cousin Skeeter (with voice to match) who would could ride coat tails with the proficiency of a porn star and play the background like a poorly constructed seventh grade school set.

After living off of hype generated from guest verses on Tribe songs for the better part of a decade, Consequence is somehow miraculously still here and still being a nuisance. Consequence is sometimes, but not really, maybe on Wednesdays, but definitely not on stage a member of G.O.O.D. music. He calls the label his "crew." And with the deft of a Shaolin Master with a degree in the "Da Mystery of Coattailin' " he sometimes appears on tracks, in videos, and with varying frequency releases his own music that admittedly isn't always offensive to the ears.
Both of the fake Kardashian sisters pictured above are wondering how and why Kanye West's body guard hopped in the picture. Oh wait.

But what the hell is this? Dissing Kanye West? Airing his personal business? Publicly exposing the man who has kept you barely relevant by the very last strand of "Oh-yeah-he-was-pretty-cool-in-the-90's-nostalgia?" Kanye West, the man who has kindly has built a patio towards the rear end of his coat upon which Consequence has been allowed to erect a small mansion?

I'm thoroughly disgusted.

My favorite part of the video is when Consequence attempts to justify his actions by stating that every and anyone, friends, family or foes, all want "the crown." Is Peter Jackson creative directing Consequence's career now? Is this the fourth installment of Lord of the Rings?

Consequence talking about "the crown," is like Jared Jeffries talking about how he wants to come back next season and be the best big man in the NBA. Get out of here dude. Not only will it never happen (Like Donald Trump co-signing Barry O's birth certificate), it should never even be conceived to happen. (Like Lil Wayne impregnating Lauren London.)

The complete lack of respect and friendship here is just sad. This isn't a complete vindication of Kanye West either, he's long been known to pick up someone's career, issue words of bravado and soon to come success and then proceed to leave them quietly waiting in one of the many Art Deco hallways that probably litter his home. Just ask Mr. Hudson who is now serving Manhattans and Heinekens as the resident G.O.O.D. Music butler.

I'm sure Kanye didn't play fair. And I'm sure there is more to the story. But Consequence is like the drunk Uncle at the family barbeque who just won't leave. There's a certain line you just don't cross, and Cons managed to take a Hulk sized leap across the border. For hip-hop's sake, I hope Ye' keeps it moving and Consequence starts thinking about the next stage in his career. UPS has been hiring since B.I.G. left us and Mr. Hudson could probably use a hand in the kitchen.

Dilla.

I had to post this picture because it always fit the vibe of J.Dilla’s beats to me. Whenever I think of his music I think of it being my sound track on a Space Odyssey. He's responsible for countless hits and yet, this mans genius won't be recognized by most. If you're a true Hip Hop fan, you all should to be familiar with Dilla and his work. If you don't, I think you should sit down and do your homework, Junior.

Love is You.

Nice track and visuals from Chrissette Michele. When I hear her voice it reminds me of Ella Fitzgerald and Amy Winehouse. This song is obviously for my girlfriend Aimee...Have you met Aimee? she's pretty cool.

fun fact: My girlfriend is not a fan of Chrissette Michele. We'll see if this song changes her mind.

Makeshift.

Rarely ever do I post any music from so called “upcoming” rappers or artists. I don’t think I’ve actually ever spread light on any newcomers. That’s genuinely not because I don’t want to give someone a chance, or because I think I’m too big to post music. It’s because I just never felt like this was the proper venue to do strictly music posts on artists that I didn’t actually know. If I had any friends that were trying to get into the rap game I would do what I can to help those I know on a personal level but only when I can support the product. Lucky for me, we have one of those cases.

I like doing posts on my friends projects without them asking. So that they (just like all of you) get the experience to wake up, It’s a pleasure to see someone pour all of their energy and hard work into a project, smart money would say don’t bet against him even in a densely over croweded rap game. That’s the end of today’s diatribe. Enjoy the visuals.

Stupid things.

Every argument is valid because even when they seem so trivial, they probably have some deep seeded issue tied to them. But still, how we get to the real issues is sometimes the long way there, and usually comes from a place so silly and trivial, we almost can’t believe how it started.

Yadadamean.

For some reason i've been on facebook most of the day and I noticed that my cousin up in Berkley decided to plaster his wall with  Lil B videos throughout the afternoon and i've been watching them ALL while I should be doing something that at least resembled work done.  I don’t even really have words for how absurd that is.  Just remember folks, cocaine is a crazy drug and you more than likely do not look like Jesus.  If you’ve yet to see a Lil B video than everything I just said in the prior sentence means absolutely nothing to you.  I’m not even going to subject you to a link of a Lil B video because that’s a crime far beyond cruel and unfair punishment. To make things worse, another person who in my opinion  really really sucks Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em  just signed Lil B to his label. So get ready for some world class Fuckery for your ears if those two decide to make an album together. To those who are familiar with the Young Based fellow from the Bay Area, my condolences.

speaking of Soulja Boy check this Panda Bear Swag.

LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!

A few of my friends seriously act like this when there's a girl around. I know some of them would deny and try to defend themselves, maybe even call me a crazy asshole. An asshole maybe but, not crazy. Im sure that you the reader has or had some friends that try showing off when the opposite sex is around. What's sad is that I don't think they even notice it themselves. I guess we can chalk it up to human nature I suppose.   I'm out of time for now but i promise I'll come back to this post at another time, I have many things on my agenda to complete today.

Schooled.

Im not in the best mood at the moment. I woke up this morning feeling so pissed off for reasons I can't explain. That can't be good for me.

I'm going to start school again in the very near furure and I have mixed feelings about it. I'm sitting in my chair and wondering why I would put myself through another semester. I'm going to be waking up every morning a few more hours away from another three hour session in which I will be asked to regurgitate four months worth of educational material inside a small blue book. This regurgitation of material is all for a greater quest to receive the first letter of the alphabet scrawled in red ink from a ball point pen across the front of my work by a professor who would probably rather be else where just as much as I myself would like to be. we find ourselves doing daily battles on quiet library floors in preparation for our scholarly showdowns. Somehow trying to ignore the simultaneous vibration of the cell phone and the ever present Facebook updates while absorbing the difference between the zooplankton which inhabit the Benthic Zone and those who roam freely in the open ocean. Hah, “roaming free” is the last phrase that should come anywhere near the subject matter of this post. It seems like all of my heroes dropped out of college. None the less, onwards we press.

Now don’t get me wrong. I am not a spoiled bastard of a child who doesn’t realize how blessed I am for the opportunity to receive an education. Just understand that it is a frustrating thing to be told that you have to pay for, and register for meaningless classes in order to graduate with that illustrious pieces of paper. The entire process and run around seems entirely backwards but none the less necessary today, and what’s even more saddening is that a bachelor’s degree is no longer even a marker of somewhat assured success in today’s world. Ask any one of the recent college graduates who are back at home searching for jobs where their degrees are as common as the paper on which they are printed. It sounds like a bad Kanye West College Dropout skit but it’s the truth. Maybe I need to find my own inner dropout and spend a summer following my passions like Mr. West and countless others once did. Sounds like a good plan to me. Fishing expeditions, writing of substance, and the greatest modeling career the P.I. has ever seen WOOOOO (shout out to my buddies Drew and Lee) here I come.

1997

Dom Kennedy serves up some visuals to accompany this Summer’s West Coast soundtrack. “1997″ to me was the stand out track from Dom’s last tape, From The Westside With Love, so it’s only proper that it gets the full video treatment.

if I don’t start seeing this on MTVU at the very least, I say riots are in order.

I’ve said it many times before in my writing and I will continue to make sure that it is said. Dom Kennedy has next where the West Coast is concerned. If these record label folks don’t see it, then they continue to prove again and again that they’re blind and out of touch with the industry. Never mind a rushed and oblivious XXL review, Kennedy spits raps that seem to come as natural as wearing flip-flop’s and socks in his first major print appearance.

Not to mention the fact that Kennedy seems determined to make sure the only thing that leaves his camp are quality, completed projects. You don’t see random leaks and throw away tracks on off days. If there’s a method to this industry madness, they have the recipe.

The video is a continuation of Kennedy’s laid back approach. Simple but dramatic, the video is an entrance to a larger national stage, a statement of purpose. Hard work be payin’ off but only if you can manage to just be cool along the way. I speak for the rest of the Team and myself when I say that we’ll be supporting on the journey

Talented

As an enormous stroke to the ego of my writing ability, it seems that a few of you actually have been reading the entire post. I will admit that I was a little surprised due to the fact that I generally assume that my posts that contain mostly writing are not as universally accepted or appreciated as much as their picture documentation brethren. it is greatly appreciated.
On my daily rounds on youtube i came across these 2 talented people..

For the ladies, i found a girl who can play top40 songs on 4 iPhones. You want to know what i do on my iPhone? NOTHING, anyway She makes it look effortless. notice in the first video she speaks Korean, and then switches up to Japanese, and then English, and continues to sing in Engrish...enjoy

For the fellas,
Although something about this guy screams I Live in my Mothers Basement. This guy is badass, Parkour + Martial Arts + Tumbling + Magic Tricks + Juggling + Yo Yos + Skating...yeah all of that in 1 man. While you're watching, notice how many times he looks at the camera as if to say "yeah, that just happened"

If your name is MARK: What this guy does at 2:07 reminds of something you would do haha.
Happy Friday everyone.
