Kimono

Nike ACG Global Design Director Stewart Horner designed this jacket from inspiration on a trip to Tokyo. The print featured on the jacket was made from a 150 year old hand cut paper stencil, printed on a technical interpretation of a traditional kimono fabric with a 20,000mm waterproof breathable 3-layer Nike Storm Fit laminate. Very nice.

  1. damn that is an awesome jacket. i love how this print is still in style kind of like the green apple tree jackets circa 07-08. The allover print style of those years overtook these kind of stencil prints but i'm glad they managed to survive that debacle (though i do own one of the kid robot allover print hoodies). Also i like this design over the nike sb prod spotted print theyve been reusing for the past year.

is this a limited edition or is this gonna be available at all nike stores?

  2. I love the jacket too. The heads behind the Nike designs are on top of things and always know how to be fresh and different without straying to far off from the original design and templates.

This jackets sold out and so far no word on if they are going to get more out there yet. When and IF they bring it back, it will be available on the Nike.com store
